Customs Service mourns sudden loss of Deputy Comptroller, Etop Andrew Essien The Nigeria Customs Service (NCS) is mourning the unexpected death of Deputy Comptroller Etop Andrew Essien, who passed away on June 25, 2024. Essien, 56, collapsed while presenting to the National Assembly House Committee on Public Accounts. Customs spokesperson Abdullahi Maiwada reported that Essien, responsible for revenue reconciliation, experienced discomfort and asked for water before collapsing.
