Former Equatorial Guinea official, Baltasar, gets 8-year jail term for embezzlement A court in Equatorial Guinea has sentenced former senior government official Baltasar Ebang Engonga to eight years in prison for embezzlement. The conviction comes months after Engonga was at the center of an international scandal involving leaked sex videos. The Bioko provincial tribunal found Engonga guilty of diverting public funds by claiming professional travel expenses for personal use.
