Gunmen suspected to be members of the Eastern Security Network (ESN)/ Indigenous People of Biafra (IBOP) on Sunday attacked a police station in the Ini Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State and shot dead a police officer. It was gathered that the officer was killed in the early hours of Sunday during a gun battle with the hoodlums which lasted several minutes.
