On Tuesday up to the early hours of Wednesday 8th January, special troops of the Nigerian Navy engaged sea pirates who kidnapped foreign sailors in Bayelsa state in a gun battle that led to the arrest of one of the pirates and rescue of three of the foreign sailors.  It can be recalled that these same pirates perpetuating the kidnapping act killed four Nigerian Navy ratings last weekend.
