Operatives of the Nigerian police and INTERPOL have arrested two Nigerians for allegedly defrauding the German state of North Rhine-Westphalia of €2.3 million COVID-19 funds. Police spokesperson, Frank Mba who disclosed this in a statement on Sunday, September 6, 2020, said the fund was meant for the procurement of personal protective equipment (PPE).
