ASUU threatens another strike action over promotion arrears Story from Christine TOBECHUKWU The Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) has called on the Federal Government to pay the outstanding promotion arrears owed its members to ensure continued industrial peace and a cordial relationship between both parties. Following a National Executive Council meeting held at the University of Maiduguri, ASUU asked the Federal Government through the office of the Accountant General of the Federation to release  unpaid promotion arrears due its members in the interest of peace and harmony in Nigerian universities.
