Taraba 2023: Kefas Agbu wins PDP governorship primary election

The People’s Democratic Party chairman in Taraba State, Colonel Kefas Dantala Agbu, has scored 443 votes to clinch ticket for the 2023 governorship election in the state.

The primary which held at Jolly Nyame stadium had party leaders and stalwarts and was conducted in a peaceful manner under strict  security.

Kefas Agbu defeated the Speaker of the House of Assembly, Joseph Albasu Kunini who scored 11 votes, former Senator, Joel Danlami Ikenya 6 votes, former chairman of the Taraba State Universal Basic Education Board, Hilkiya Bubajoda Mafindi 6 votes and former University lecturer, Jerome Nyame 24 votes.

In April this year, Colonel Agbu Kefas Rtd denied picking the nomination form to contest the number one seat in the state under the PDP.
