Taraba gov. dissolves predecessor’s cabinet, picks title to be addressed with

Taraba State Governor, Dr Agbu Kefas, on Thursday, dissolved the State Executive Council, parastatals, disengaged advisers, and Senior Special Assistants of the former Governor,  Darius Ishaku.

Former governor Darius Ishaku had on Monday handover to Kefas without dissolving his cabinet.

In a press statement, Governor Kefas said the cabinet, boards, and parastatals have been dissolved.

Another statement signed by the governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Mr Yusuf Sanda, said the governor directed that he should henceforth be addressed as Dr Agbu Kefas.

The statement read, “This is to inform the public that henceforth, His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Taraba State should be known and addressed as Dr Agbu Kefas for protocol and official engagements.

“This press release has ended the misunderstanding or confusion regarding the proper title while addressing the Executive Governor.

“The official nomenclature should be used strictly in all correspondences. The media and general public should please, note this development,” the statement said.
