Terrorists attack nightclub in Yobe, kill 6 people, burn houses

Disturbing reports are emerging regarding a violent incident in Geidam village, located on the outskirts of Yobe State.

According to reports, a group of armed men, suspected to be from the Islamic West African Providence (ISWAP), targeted partygoers at a local club in Kwari, Gaidam Local Government of Yobe State.

The assailants stormed the club during a night party on Thursday, firing shots indiscriminately and causing panic among the attendees.

Neptune Prime learned that an undisclosed number of people have been killed in the attack.

An anonymous source from the community revealed that the terrorists arrived at the club around 2 AM, prompting residents to flee for safety.

Additional sources confirmed that, so far, six corpses have been recovered, and security forces are currently at the scene.

According to the source, “Six corpses have been recovered, and they also burned one vehicle and undisclosed houses.”

This marks the second attack by terrorists on the same club; in 2022, the assailants targeted Kwari, a popular brothel, resulting in the brutal killing of ten individuals, including women.
