Terrorists kill Nigerian soldier in Kaduna who testified in murder case

Suspected terrorists have killed a warrant officer in the Nigerian Army identified as Muhammad Dalhatu.

According to reports, Muhammad Dalhatu was killed by the gunmen along Birnin-Gwari/Kontangora Road in Kaduna State.

He was said to have testified in court on Wednesday as a witness in a murder case.

A prosecutor with the Nigerian Army, Monday Daniel Bissan, who confirmed the incident said, “Oh, this life, I’m in tears. This is my depot mate, Warrant Officer Mohammed Dalhatu who came to testify as a witness for a murder case and I’m the defense counsel.

“After cross-examining him in court, he was killed by bandits along the Birni-Gwari to Kontagora.

In recent months, Kaduna has witnessed a spate of violent attacks which has led to the killing and abduction of residents.
