The inspiring academic journey of Mrs. Rahima Oyiza Yakubu, Ph.D. in sustainable energy technologies
Mrs. Rahima Oyiza Yakubu who holds a bachelor’s and master’s degree in Engineering has just bagged a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Sustainable Energy Technologies from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Ghana.
Oyiza dedicated this great feat to first, the Almighty Allah for taking her through the journey. The engineering erudite also dedicated this achievement to her Late Dad, Mr. Salawu Ogirima Yakubu, her mum, and every Ebira mother out there noting their unwavering support and sacrifices.
Engr. Rahima especially appreciating her husband for his unwavering support said, “To my husband Engr. Abdul Abdulazeez, Inda Ozi Udu Obanyi, Ozi Omachoro, and Ozi Maro, you are true pillars of strength. I married you with a B.Eng., and twelve years later, with your unwavering support, I have earned an M.Eng. and a Ph.D.”
Engr. Yakubu’s achievement shows that there is no field in which a girl child cannot flourish if given the needed support and encouragement.
