Tragedy as lecturer collapses, dies in his office

The Obafemi Awolowo University (OAU) in Ile-Ife, Osun State, is in a state of mourning following the passing of Dr. Ayo Ojediran, a 52-year-old lecturer at the Faculty of Education.

According to reports, the lecturer collapsed and passed away in his office last Thursday.

The University’s Public Relations Officer, Mr. Abiodun Olarewaju, expressed deep sorrow over the loss, emphasizing that the incident has deeply affected the students and colleagues of Dr. Ojediran.

A close friend of the deceased, Ayodeji Obisesan, shared a heartfelt message on Facebook, paying tribute to Dr. Ojediran as a kind and humble individual who was always ready to offer assistance.

He expressed the heartfelt sentiment of loss and extended prayers for strength and peace to Dr. Ojediran’s students, friends, colleagues, associates, and family members.

Several of his students also expressed their grief over the lecturer’s passing, offering prayers for strength and comfort to his family during this difficult time.
