Tribute to Hajiya Talatu Ibrahim Bomai, by Abubakar MB Tamana

Hajiya Talatu, wife to my boss, brought joy and delight to all those around her. Her life with us will always be remembered. She had been the perfect mother to everyone she came across and she was a loving and devoted wife who always had time to think about her family.

To her family, she was a good wife and a good mother, she gave them the very best in life, every one of them got the very best from her. Her role in their lives will forever remain exemplary. To her friends, she remained a caring and loving sister. She was always there for everyone to contribute positively to peace and togetherness. And to her step sons and daughters, she kept them under her wings throughout all these years faithfully joining hands with her amiable husband, Alhaji Ibrahim Muhammad Bomai. She would always be remembered for being kind and generous to all irrespective of where you came from.

And to all of us working under her loving husband, she was the woman who can light the world up with her smile. She treated each and everyone around with respect and dignity. She was honest, courageous, and had unmatched zest for human development.

She was always there to help, advice and to give the very best to everyone that she came across. She remained gentle and jovial until she departed this world in the early hours of yesterday, 22/12/2018, after a protracted illness.

It is painful losing Aunty Talatu, as we all called her, but God knows what’s best. She will be remembered for her curiosity, simplicity, generosity, kindness, compassion, and her good sense of humor.

With her passing, we feel that we have lost a beloved mother. To her husband, children and family members, we convey our heartfelt condolences. May Allah (SWT) give her family, relations, friends and all of us, the fortitude to bear the irreplaceable loss.

She may have left this world but her legacies and love will forever live with us. May Allah forgive her and grant her soul eternal peace in Jannatul Fiddausi.
