Troops neutralize three terrorists, recover arms, rustled cattle in Katsina, Zamfara

Troops of Operation Hadarin Daji killed three terrorists and recovered arms and rustled cattle in Katsina and Zamfara States.

A statement by the Director of Defence Media, Major General Musa Danmadami, said that on 8 April 2023, troops conducted offensive operations on the hideouts of some bandit kingpins in Yartasha and Chabi villages in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.

According to him, during the operation, the troops came in contact with the kingpins and their foot soldiers and, in the firefight, neutralized two bandits, arrested one, while others fled.

In another development, on the same day, troops conducted an ambush operation on bandits conveying large quantities of rustled animals at Dan Marke village in Kankara Local Government Area of Katsina State.

The troops neutralized one terrorist while others fled with gunshot injuries.

However, the troops recovered two AK-47 rifles, 150 rustled cattle, forty rustled sheep, amongst other items.

The military high command commends the troops of Operation Hadarin Daji and encourages the general public to provide troops with credible and timely information on criminal activities.
