A video of Turkish footballers breaking their fast amid the match has gone viral on social media. A bunch of Turkish footballers sit together to break their fast with water and dates.
The video has since gone viral on social media, with over 3 million views on the footage from beIN Sports Turkey’s Twitter account.
A break was taken during the match after an injury occurred which coincided with the evening call to prayer (Maghrib) hence, players took the opportunity to break their fasts.
The video was shared by the Twitter account of the Turkish sports page, Ben Turkiye. A Muslim Twitter user from the UK also shared the video on his account that garnered attention from internet users in Pakistan and across the world.
