Two farmers killed in another Plateau attack

Two farmers were reportedly killed in a fresh attack in a community in Plateau State, a source has confirmed.

The president of Mushere Youth Movement, Kopmut Monday, described the attack, which happened at Margif community of Mushere chiefdom of Bokkos Local Government Area of Plateau State, as barbaric.

He called on security agents to track down the perpetrators.

The president gave the names of the deceased as Kyargarshak Stephen Gumap and Michael Longs.

He said one of the victims was killed by terrorists on his farm, where he was harvesting cocoa yams, while the second was murdered on his way home, between Horop and Kopmur by terrorists living in Rongjing-Mbor.

However, the chairman of Gan Allah Fulani Development Association of Nigeria (GAFDAN) in Bokkos, Saleh Adamu, has said his group was not aware of the incident.

The spokesperson of Operation Safe Haven (OPSH), Major Samson Zhakom, did not respond to a text message by our correspondent regarding the incident at press time.
