Unauthorised Meeting: ADC Jigawa State leadership disassociates self from Gumel
The leadership of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Jigawa State wishes to inform all our esteemed Coalition Partners and the general public that Muhammad Sani Gumel, the expelled gubernatorial candidate of the ADC during the 2023 general elections, is not the Acting Chairman of the party in Jigawa State and does not have any mandate or authority to convene party meetings or represent the ADC in any capacity.
We have been made aware that Mr. Gumel, alongside a group of his followers, is planning to organise a so-called “Coalition Partners Convergence Meeting” on 4th June 2025. We categorically disassociate the ADC from this informal and unauthorized gathering.
It has also come to our attention that Mr. Gumel visited the ADC National Headquarters in Abuja to collect party materials—including state T-shirts, P-caps, banners, and flyers—without the knowledge or approval of the legitimate State Chairman, Honourable Kabiru Hussaini (Na-Rungo).

The National Organizing Secretary has since instructed Mr. Gumel to return all party materials, as his actions were in violation of party protocol and hierarchy. Unfortunately, Mr. Gumel has refused to comply.
We urge all our Coalition Partners to disregard any invitation or communication from Muhammad Sani Gumel or his cohorts, as he has proven to be a betrayer and deceiver attempting to undermine the unity and progress of our party.
Please be informed that a new date for the official Convergence Meeting of Coalition Partners will be formally announced shortly after Sallah.
We appreciate your continued support and cooperation.
Signed:
Honourable Kabiru Hussaini
Jigawa State ADC Party Chairman..
