Unifying Forces: AANI, AANDEC Join hands to amplify a stronger National voice

In a momentous display of unity and purpose, the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) and the Association of National Defence College (AANDEC) have come together in a historic meeting. Led by AANI’s National President, Ambassador EO Okafor mni, the AANI delegation paid a courtesy visit to Air Commodore Darlington Abdullahi (rtd), President of AANDEC, on Tuesday 22th, at their headquarters in Abuja.

During the visit, the AANI President emphasized the need for collaboration, recognizing the shared goals and interests of both associations. The purpose of the meeting was to establish connections and foster a stronger partnership that could address national concerns with a united front. The AANI President appealed for AANDEC’s active involvement in upcoming AANI events, seeking continued support and collaboration.

In response, the President of AANDEC expressed gratitude for the visit and emphasized the historical relationship between the two associations.

He highlighted their shared commitment to national development and stressed the importance of nurturing and elevating this partnership.

With the aim of contributing significantly to the progress of the nation, AANI and AANDEC have embarked on a transformative journey of cooperation. Together, they will work towards amplifying their collective voice and making a positive impact on matters of national significance.

The meeting was attended by members of AANDEC’s National Executive Committee, including Vice President Group Captain Peter Bilal (rtd), Navy Captain TJ Ayerite (Rtd), National Secretary Brigadier General Ugwu Chima (rtd), Financial Secretary Air Vice Marshal Dalhat Ladan, Auditor Captain (NN) AC Udeagwu (Rtd), Treasurer Commodore MA Wabi, and National Publicity Secretary.

Accompanying the AANI President were prominent representatives, including Alhaji Abubakar Ismail Isah mni, Secretary-General, Alhaji Samaila Umar Sifawa mni, National Treasurer, Dr. Kayode Moses Babatunde mni, Assistant Secretary General, Dr. (Mrs.) Favour Ugwunayi mni, Mrs. Maryamu Laka Madami mni, Financial Secretary, Brigadier General SK Usman (rtd) mni, fnipr, fapra, fnarc, FIORM, fspsp, Sarkin Yakin Kanwan Katsina, AANI National Publicity Secretary, and Alhaji Nasir Ladan mni, Director of Administration at AANI National Secretariat.

The visit concluded with an exchange gifts and the sharing of a publication, symbolizing the strengthening bond between AANI and AANDEC.
