A section of the Abuja-Kaduna rail bridge has been damaged by vandals carting away vital parts including the fish plates.
In a video posted on Facebook on Friday, July 8, 2022 by Muhammad S Balogun, some security operatives were seen inspecting the level of damage meted on the rail bridge by the vandals. Based on their conversation the act was carried out in the morning believed to be Friday.
The Facebook user captioned the video as, “By the time the government is ready to reopen the Abuja-Kaduna railway, the bridges, tracks, fish plates, and other accessories may no longer be there thanks to vandals?.”
Recall that operations along the Abuja-Kaduna route was halted due to the terror attack on March 28, 2022 which led to the death eight passengers and 65 others were abducted.
