Veteran journalist, Aliyu Abubakar Getso is dead
A respected journalist and broadcaster, Aliyu Abubakar Getso, has passed away.
Family sources confirmed that Getso died on Sunday morning in Kano after battling a long illness.
The late Getso was a familiar voice on radio and had worked with several media houses, including Kano State Radio Corporation, Freedom Radio, Premier Radio, and Vision FM.

He is survived by three wives, many children, and grandchildren.
His funeral prayer (Janazah) will take place at 9:30 a.m. today (Sunday) at his residence near Second Gate, Janbulo, in the Kabuga area of Kano City.
