Kenneth AFOR, LAGOS

Manchester United five-win-streak ended on Sunday afternoon following a 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa at Villa Park.

Villa opened the scoreline in the first 11 minutes of the game with two goals and a third immediately after half time in the 49th minute.

Manchester United remain fifth place on the league table with 23 points.

Today’s victory for Villa is the first home win against the Red Devils in 27 years.  Villa’s Miguel Almiron, 35′, Chris Wood, 58′, Joe Willock, 62′, and Bruno Guimaraes, 91′, goals gave their side the victory.

Defender Kieran Trippier’s stunning performance and assist, made him win the man of the match title.

They move up to 13th place on the table.  Elsewhere, Arsenal reclaim top spot on the log in a 0-1 win over Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.

They are currently 34 as Manchester City trail by 32 points after 13 matches each.
