VP Shettima collaborates with AANI to advance national development

The State House in Abuja witnessed a significant engagement as the Vice President, Kashim Shettima, GCON, hosted a delegation from the Alumni Association of the National Institute (AANI) to delve into matters concerning national progress.

Led by the National President, Ambassador Emmanuel Obi Okafor mni, the delegation, consisting of members of the Executive Committee and former AANI Presidents, conveyed their gratitude for the Vice President’s stewardship over the National Institute for Policy and Strategic Studies (NIPSS) in Kuru.

According to Brigadier General SK Usman (rtd) mni fnipr fapra fnarc FIOARM fspsp, AANI National Publicity Secretary, the visit aimed to recognize Vice President Shettima’s transformative leadership style and underscored AANI’s role as an advocacy platform for policy recommendations and national unity.

Ambassador Okafor mni emphasized ongoing collaborations with the Ministry of Defence to bolster security awareness nationwide.

AANI’s appeal for increased support from the Vice President to uphold NIPSS Kuru’s excellence and implement recommendations from senior executive courses was met with assurance and commitment.

Vice President Shettima expressed appreciation for AANI’s dedication to professionalism and pledged swift action on the raised issues. He emphasized Nigeria’s pivotal role on the African continent and pledged to elevate NIPSS Kuru’s standards while addressing resource challenges.

The courtesy visit was attended by former AANI Presidents Major General Lawrence Onoja (rtd) mni and Alhaji Mohammed Gambo Umar mni, andAANI National President, Mrs. Olufunke Amos, AANI National Treasurer, Alhaji Samaila Umar Sifawa mni, AANI Financial Secretary, Mrs Maryamu Laka Madami mni and Brigadier General Sani Usman Kukasheka (rtd) mni, AANI National Publicity Secretary. Others were Alhaji Tijjani Inuwa Dutse mni, Legal Adviser, Dr Babatunde Moses Kayode mni, Assistant Secretary General of the association, Dr (Mrs.) Favour Ngozi mni, National Social and Welfare Secretary, and Alhaji Muhammad Nasir Ladan mni, the Director of Administration at the AANI National Secretariat.
