Why I refused to marry Adam Zango – Kannywood actress, Ummi Rahab Saleh

Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

Ummi Rahab Saleh, the controversial Kannywood actress that is now engaged in a serious crisis with her godfather, Adam A. Zango, for the first time revealed that Zango proposed to her in which she refused and that is why he sent her packing from his house.

“I still have respect for him because when I came to Nigeria from Saudi Arabia, where I was born, he took me in, assisted me to finish my studies and built a career for me in Kannywood, and for that, I remain very grateful to him.

“But when he told me that he wanted to marry me, I refused, because here is a person that married 6 times, with 6 children from different wives. Some of his former wives were from his company, so am I a fool to marry him, I have other boys in my life that I love.

But because he is so jealous he decided to throw me out of his house, removed me from his film “Farin Wata Shakallo”, but I have no regret. I have my life to live, I am now coming of age and I can survive on my own. Give me few years and I will be the most expensive actress in Kannywood, already I am doing extremely well and the sky is my limit.

Do you know that when I had a crisis with Zango, people that I never met came to me and were ready to defend me from all angles. Honestly, I am very grateful to them and my colleagues in the industry.
