Woman found dead inside hotel room after lodging with male companion

An unnamed adult woman has been found dead in a Morogbo hotel in Lagos State after checking in with a male companion.
According to PUNCH Metro, a local resident who requested anonymity, said, “The two guests arrived at the hotel in the morning. After paying, they collected the key to their room and went inside.
“The grim discovery unfolded later that evening when the hotel staff, attempting to assign the room to another guest, found it locked.

“Upon gaining access with a spare key, they found the woman lying lifeless on the bed, naked and covered with a bedspread.
“Her clothes and phone were missing,” the resident recounted.
He said hotel workers, joined by others, searched everywhere in an attempt to locate the suspect, while the director reported the matter to the police that same night.
Confirming the incident, Benjamin Hundeyin, the state Police Public Relations Officer, said despite all efforts, the male guest’s whereabouts remain unknown as their information wasn’t recorded during check-in, and the hotel lacks CCTV surveillance.
He said the hotel owner and receptionist have been apprehended.
Hundeyin stated, “The corpse has been deposited in the morgue. The case will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department. The owner of the hotel has been arrested along with the receptionist.”
