Yobe APC chairman calls for massive participation in ongoing e-membership registration

Story by Sa’adatu MAINA, Damaturu

The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Yobe State, Alhaji Muhammad Gadaka, has issued a rallying call to residents of the state for active participation in the ongoing national APC e-membership registration exercise.

Gadaka made the appeal Wednesday while addressing a strategic meeting of party stakeholders from all seventeen local government areas.

The meeting, held in Damaturu, was convened to chart a course for boosting registrations in the state.

The chairman highlighted a strategic advantage for Yobe, noting that with the state’s Governor, Mai Mala Buni, serving as the Chairman of the APC National Reconciliation and Mobilisation Committee, Yobe is positioned to set the pace.

He declared that the state should not only participate but aim to lead the country in the number of registered party members.

“From the state level down to the wards and grassroots, every stakeholder must mobilise and sensitise people within their domains,” Gadaka charged.

He emphasised the directive to ensure all eligible individuals are captured in the digital exercise.

The Special Adviser on Political and Legislative Matters, Hon. Usman Adamu Kabaruma, alongside the State Party Secretary, Alhaji Abubakar Bakabe, highlighted that the registration is vital for every indigene of Yobe State who is 18 years of age and above.

Officials disclosed that in the ongoing registration across the entire North-East geopolitical zone, only two states have currently recorded higher numbers than Yobe.

The stakeholder meeting has, thus, set the stage for a coordinated grassroots mobilisation drive, with party leaders tasked to convert the current momentum into a definitive registration lead for Yobe State.
