The Sokoto state command of the Nigeria Police has arrested 10 suspects who allegedly conspired and robbed one Abdulrashid Abubakar and Tayo Adesina both of Old Airport area of Sokoto and carted away N 35, 000.00 and 3 cell phones valued at N95,000.00
Parading the suspects, the state commissioner of police, Alhaji Ibrahim Sani Ka’oje said the victims complained to Unguwar Rogo police division that the suspects came to their shops, inflicted injuries on them and robbed them.
According to him, the suspects had confessed to the crime and would soon be charged to court Similarly, the commissioner said the police arrested one Bashar Musa of Minannata area of Sokoto for allegedly parading himself as Police Sergeant
The CP said Bashar was arrested in Illela town of Illela local government by police patrol team on surveillance, adding that a police identity card bearing his photograph with the rank of sergeant, police T-shirts and guideline for election, were found on him.
Interviewing the suspect, he confessed to the offence and attributed it to the devil.
