Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano
The special committee set up by the Kano State House of Assembly to probe the suspended former Chairman of Kano State Public Complaint and Anti-Corruption Chairman (PCACC), Barrister Magaji Muhuyi Rimin Gado, has called on the state government to outrightly sack the embattled chairman from office, as Kano State Police Command also invited him to their office, today, Monday.
The Police Command decided to invite the embattled PCACC Chairman to their office to explain why he tendered an allegedly forged letter from the National Hospital to Kano State House of Assembly, even though Muhuyi Rimin Gado blamed one Doctor, Bayo Ayodele from the National Hospital for this mess.
The committee in its Monday sitting tendered a medical report from National Hospital Abuja that was earlier presented to it by Muhuyi Rimin Gado which happened to be fake, the report never emanated from National Hospital Abuja, this, therefore, is a clear case of forgery and Rimin Gado, who is a Lawyer knows the implication of forgery.
Similarly, Kano State House of Assembly today, Monday set up a powerful six-man committee to probe the tenure of Muhuyi Rimin Gado as the Chairman of PCACC from 2015 to date and documented all his activities and actions for prosecution by the court.
The embattled chairman last week used the alleged forged letter from the National Hospital and ran to court where he got a judgement from the Court stopping Kano State House of Assembly from probing him, and since the alleged letter from the National Hospital seems to be fake, the Hospital may decide to drag him to court for alleged forgery.
Recently, the Kano State Government, through the House of Assembly, suspended the former PCACC embattled chairman for directing the Kano State Ministry of Works to investigate and report to the commission some contract jobs in the state, which sources said was being handled by the family of the Governor.
In the past, the state government used the commission to harass senior indigenes of the state including the past Emir of Kano Sunusi Lamido Sanusi, who, when he was in office, was invited severally by Muhuyi Rimin Gado to appear before it on charges of corruption and abuse of office.
Attached is the letter from the National Hospital which is now before the House Committee probing the Chairman of the PCACC. The letter is clearly fake and the members want Ganduje to dismiss the embattled chairman for alleged forgery and other offences.
Meanwhile, Barrister Balarabe Mahmud has been appointed in acting capacity to replace Muhuyi Rimin Gado.
