Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar has picked Delta State Governor, Dr Ifeanyi Okowa, as his running mate for the 2023 presidential election.
Atiku announced Okowa at a press briefing on Thursday in Abuja.

Also, via his Twitter account, the former vice president said: “I am delighted to announce Governor @IAOkowa as my Vice Presidential candidate. I look forward to travelling our great country together, engaging with all Nigerians and building a shared future of peace, unity, and prosperity for all. As One We Can Get It Done. #OneNigeria. -AA.”
Neptune Prime reports that Iyiocha Ayu, the National Chairman of the PDP gave assurance that the party would announce a running mate within two days during a meeting with members of the consultative committee set up to assist Atiku to choose a running mate on Tuesday.
