Former Supreme Court Chief Registrar appointed to Philomath University Governing Council

Hajiya Hadizatu Uwani Mustapha, the former Chief Registrar of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, has been appointed as a member of the Governing Council of Philomath University, Abuja.

The appointment was announced in a letter dated 2nd November, 2023, signed by the Founder, Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Council, Collins A. Aimuan.

Philomath University is a private university licensed by the Federal Government of Nigeria in April 2021, with a campus in Kuje, Abuja.

The university started with two faculties and ten programmes, but has now expanded to five faculties and twenty-two programmes, with a new City Campus in Maitama, Abuja.

According to the letter, Hajiya Mustapha was selected for the appointment based on her enviable lifestyle and self-development, as well as her knowledge and wealth of experience.

She will join the highest policy making body of the university to assist in developing its capacity further and attracting benefits that will enhance the vision and goals of the university.

The letter stated that Philomath University is envisioned to be the Harvard University of Africa by redefining university learning, that will signpost technological revolution and invention in Africa.
