Dauda Biu announces reshuffle at FRSC, appoints Jonas Agwu as spokesman

FRSC Corps Marshal Dauda Biu
Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Dauda Biu, has sanctioned the relocation of two deputy corps marshals and one assistant corps marshal to pivotal departments and offices, a move the agency asserts will enhance ongoing efforts to create a safer motoring environment.

A statement released on Tuesday stated that the redeployment is part of a strategic initiative aimed at achieving the corporate strategic goals of the FRSC for the year 2024.

Deputy Corps Marshal (DCM) Shehu Zaki, previously in charge of the training department, will now oversee the affairs of the department of operations.

Former Corps Public Education Officer, Deputy Corps Marshal Bisi Kazeem, is assigned as the DCM in charge of the training department at the FRSC national headquarters in Abuja.

Mr. Biu also approved the redeployment of the former Assistant Corps Marshal in charge of Command Administration and Strategies (CAS), Assistant Corps Marshal (ACM) Jonas Agwu, to take over the administration of the Corps Public Education Office previously held by DCM Kazeem.

ACM Agwu had previously served as the sector commander of the FRSC in Lagos. The posting of the outgoing Corps Public Education Officer Kazeem, recently promoted to DCM, marks his initial deployment in the new rank.

“The corps marshal expressed confidence in the capacity and experiences of the newly redeployed senior officers to deliver on the mandate as he charged them to bring their professional expertise for impactful leadership.

“The redeployment is effective from 15 January 2024, marking the conclusion of the ongoing Operation Zero Tolerance Special Patrol,” the statement, signed by Deputy Corps Public Education Officer Charles Edem, said.
