Man kills 6-year-old daughter for money ritual on Father’s Day

A father identified as Sankey Ovemureye has allegedly murdered his six-year-old daughter, Abigail Stanley, for money ritual sacrifice at Uviama New Layout, Agbarho community in Ughelli North Local Government Area of Delta State.
It was reported that the culprit fled the scene after fatally injuring the young girl by smashing her head.
Confirming the incident, SP Bright Edafe, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, said the tragic event took place on Sunday, 16th June.

Edafe mentioned that the Divisional Police Officer of Agbarho discovered the lifeless body of the girl, whose head had been brutally smashed against the wall multiple times.
“The body was found and taken to the morgue. The father, who is the prime suspect, is currently on the run.”
On the other hand, Commissioner of Police, CP Abaniwonda Olufemi, has instructed a search for the suspect who fled the scene.
CP Olufemi also guaranteed the public that justice will prevail and the perpetrator will be apprehended.
