President Bola Tinubu has approved six new appointments across key institutions in Nigeria’s education sector.
According to a statement issued by the Presidency on Wednesday, the appointments and reappointments are aimed at strengthening leadership and continuity in critical education agencies.
The newly approved appointments are as follows:
Prof. Modupe Adeola Adelabu – Chairman, Governing Board, National Examinations Council
Prof. Ibrahim Dantani Wushishi – Retained as Registrar/Chief Executive, NECO
Prof. Babatunde Salako – Chairman, Governing Board, National Board for Technical Education
Prof. Idris M. Bugaje – Reappointed as Executive Secretary, NBTE (second and final five-year term)
Engr. Dr. Bongfa Binfa – Rector, Federal Polytechnic, N’yak-Shendam, Plateau State (five-year term)
Prof. Chinwe Veronica Anunobi – Renewed as Director/Chief Executive, National Library of Nigeria (final five-year term)
The Presidency noted that the appointments reflect the administration’s commitment to improving governance, institutional stability, and service delivery within the education sector.
