Gov. Buni assures LG workers of June salary payment before Sallah

Story from Sa’adatu MAINA, Damaturu

Governor Mai Mala Buni’s administration has assured Yobe local government employees that their June salaries would be paid before Sallah day while apologising for the delay caused by administrative hiccups.

A credible source within the government circle revealed to Neptune Prime that Governor Buni was deeply disturbed by the development and has directed the Ministry of Finance to ensure that local government employees shouldn’t celebrate Sallah without their June salaries.

The administration also debunked allegations that the delay in payment of June salaries to the employees was caused by lack of funds or government’s negligence of workers’ welfare and attributed the development to some technical challenges which have been addressed frontally.
