Eid-el-Kabir: Gov. Buni felicitates with Muslims, calls for prayers against insecurity 

Yobe State Governor, Honourable Mai Mala Buni, has congratulated Muslim faithful on the occassion of the Eid-el-Kabir Sallah festival.

According to a statement signed by the DG, Press and Media Affairs to Yobe State Governor, Mamman Mohammed, Governor Buni urged the faithful to observe the virtues of peace, love, accomodation and tolerance as preached by the religion of Islam.

He said the Eid-el-Kabir is a period of sacrifice, forgiveness, submission and benevolence “We should imbibe these teachings to accomodate one another and promote peace for growth and development of the state and country” he charged.

The Governor urged the people to continue to pray for peace and prosperity of the state and the country.

“As we approach the general elections, we should also pray for peaceful electioneering.” He said.

While assuring that his administration will continue to execute people-oriented projects to improve the lives of citizens, Governor Buni admonished the people to engage in agriculture as the season commences for economic recovery, food sufficiency and security,

He congratulated Pilgrims from the state for a successful Hajj exercise.

“I rejoice with our Pilgrims in Saudi Arabia for the opportunity to perform the Hajj exercise this year, you should pray for peace to reign in the state and country.

“I wish everyone a rewarding, peaceful and memorable Sallah festival, “the Governor said.
