NSCDC arrests 2 notorious bandits in Sokoto

Operatives of the Nigerian Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) in Sokoto State, have arrested two notorious bandits who specialise in kidnap activities in the state.

According to reports, the suspects, Alhaji Koire and Alhaji Buba who were paraded at the weekend have abducted innocent members of the public with over 300 men in their camps.

Giving details about their arrests, the NSCDC Sokoto state commandant, Muhammad Dada, said that his officers spent two days in the forest before they could effect the arrest of the bandits.

According to him, Koire and Buba have been terrorizing Silame, Binji, Gudu, Tureta and Dange/Shuni Local Government Areas (LGAs) of the state for sometime.

He said the bandits also operates in Niger Republic adding that Koire in particular have been using magical powers to escape arrest.

In a confessional statement, Buba, said they have a leader in Niger Republic that supplies them with dangerous weapons and ammunitions.
