Gov. Ganduje commiserates with victims of collapsed 3-storey building

Kano State Governor Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje on Tuesday paid a sympathy visit to the site where a three-storey building collapsed in the commercial area of Beirut road in the state metropolis.
The Governor who was represented by his Deputy and All Progressives Congress (APC) gubernatorial candidate, Dr Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna, described the incident as a disaster.

He said: “The state government would investigate the causes of the collapse of the building.
“The Governor also called on the people to vacate the area of the site in order to allow the rescue team and engineers led by the State Ministry of Works to continue to search and save the victims of the incident”.
He, however, appreciated the way some construction firms and other emergency agencies have contributed to rescuing the victims of the collapsed building.
