Amotekun arrests 16-year-old boy for raping brother’s wife, 9 girls in Ondo
The Western Nigeria Security Network (WNSN), codenamed Operation Amotekun, has arrested a 16-year-old teenager, identified as Precious, for allegedly raping his brother’s wife and nine other girls in Ondo State.
It was gathered that Precious had been arrested at different times by security agencies for other criminal acts including robbery.
The Ondo State Commander of the Western Nigeria Security Network, Adetunji Adeleye, paraded Precious alongside others arrested by operatives of the command for different crimes committed around the state.
Speaking to journalists on Friday at the command’s headquarters in Akure, Precious confessed to having committed the crime, stating that he raped the nine girls in a farm settlement at Laosun, in Ondo West Local Government Area.
Precious said: “In Laosun, I have raped nine girls. Some of them are 19 or 25 years. At night, I will go into their rooms and start sleeping with them. I do not use guns or knives to threaten them. Sometimes I would be caught and they would beat me and leave me. I have been arrested before. I was arrested for stealing 25 litres of palm oil. I wanted to gather money to use to buy a phone. I came to the house and saw my brother’s wife sleeping naked. I went into the room and slept with her.”

Adeleye further told journalists that some kidnappers were arrested across bushes in the state and ransoms they collected from victims were also recovered.
He warned law offenders and kidnappers that Ondo State will not be a haven for their business, stating men of the operatives will continually trail and arrested them to face the law.
Adeleye said: “Some kidnap suspects were arrested with huge sums of money in an area where ransom payment was made. During this yuletide period, it is zero tolerance for criminal activities in Ondo.
“We have about 300 men on all major roads leading in and out of the state. We have patrol vehicles. This is to ensure people can sleep with their two eyes closed,” he added.
