After Mexico’s show of superiority beating Saudi Arabia 2-1, Poland had the upper hand as they advanced to the knockout stages on fair play basis despite losing 2-0 to Argentina on Wednesday night.

Poland didn’t show enough verve on the field of play which led to their defeat to a more sharper Argentine side.

Argentina dominated the game in the larger part of 90 minutes finding the back of the net after the break in the 46th and 67th minutes respectively with Mac Allister and Julián Álvarez scoring.

On the other hand, Mexico needed three goals to displace Poland but Saudi Arabia did all they can to prevent a third goal as they reduced the tally by 2-1.
