Action Alliance calls for nullification of Feb 25th election over non-transmission of votes
One of the registered political parties in the country, the Action Alliance (AA) has urged the justice system to nullify the entire voting process in Yobe State, alleging unlawful exclusion from the whole exercise.
Abubakar Suleiman Lampo, candidate for House of Representatives Nangere Potiskum Federal Constituency, in a telephone call with Neptune Prime, mentioned that their party and logo were on the ballot paper, and they got many votes but non of the data was transmitted at the collation center.
“We have a summary from polling units, and we also have evidence-based pictures of those who voted for us, but to our surprise, non of our data was transmitted at the collation center.
“This may be due to the lack of a tag that each party agent is entitled to, which our representative was not given. We don’t know where and how this problem was initiated.
“We don’t have access to the inner office due to lack of tags. The security denied us access to the INEC office, saying only those with tags are allowed access.”
Similarly, the senatorial candidate of the Action Alliance representing Gulani, Gujiba, Damaturu, Garuda, Dapki, Tamuwa, Yunisari, Bursari, and Gaidam, Ambassador Tela Mustapha, lamented that the lack of polling agents and polling tags is what caused their misery.
“We have been calling the number 4632 but nothing has been done. We have our people who volunteered to record the scores and it was evident that I have the majority votes in most of the units. However, what matters most to us is to get a record of our votes in the ballot box, regardless of the number. The records are not transmitted.
Abdullahi A Ibrahim, candidate representing Damatura, Gujiba, Gulani, and Tarmuwa Constituencies, reported that the problem applies to each of the constituencies in the state.

From Neptune Prime’s interview with two houses of representatives and one senatorial aspirant, we learned that the party’s authentic National Chairman, Hon. Adekunle Rufai Omo-Aje, immediately after the declaration of the candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, as the President-elect, advised Nigerians to tarry awhile because he would be heading to court to seek for total nullification of the exercise.
Omo-Aje, who sounded very serious and very determined, insisted his party has a good ground to pursue the case because there was no basis for excluding all his lawful candidates from the race and said that since the court as an arbiter is there for the aggrieved people of the country, he is ready to approach it for succor.
Recalled the aggrieved AA chairman called on all the members of the party to boycott the presidential and National Assemblies polls of February 25, 2023, over the alleged exclusion of the constitutionally recognized candidates of the party.
He said, “We have gone beyond the boycott as we have started preparations towards rigorous litigation for total nullification of the whole exercise since the authorities in charge of the election have refused to do the needful before embarking on the poll.”
Nonetheless, Omo-Aje has called on all members of the party, their loyalists, and teeming supporters across the country and beyond to be calm and remain law-abiding, assuring that, “At the end of the day, victory would be ascertained because of our belief and confidence in the judiciary.”
