2023: IPAC commends INEC for conducting transparent election in Yobe

The Inter Party Advisory Council (IPAC) in Yobe State has lauded the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for performing well during the conduct of the 2023 Presidential, National Assembly, Governorship and State Assembly elections in Yobe State.

IPAC Yobe State chairman, Comrade Bala Muhammad, scored the INEC excellent on Tuesday while briefing journalists on the outcome of the general elections in the State at the NUJ press centre in Damaturu.

He stated that the conduct of all candidates and their supporters was very peaceful throughout the electioneering exercise.

Muhammad revealed that security operatives were readily on ground and civil while carrying out their duties and the press also covered the elections professionally and objectively.

He noted that these factors gave the INEC the support to organise a free, fair, transparent and incontestable elections in every part of the state.

“The electorates in the state voted for candidates of their choice and their choices were duly returned by INEC,” said Comrade Bala.

The council also commended INEC for substantially adhering to the provision of the law in conducting both the presidential and National Assembly elections in Yobe State.

The IPAC Chairman further revealed that IPAC as a council in Yobe State endorsed and approved the elections conducted across the state.
