FIFA U-20: Flying Eagles knock out hosts, Argentina in Round of 16

The Flying Eagles of Nigeria have qualified for the quarter finals of the FIFA U-20 World Cup after beating hosts, Argentina 2-0 in Round of 16 of the competition in the early hours of Thursday at the San Juan del Bicentenario Stadium.

The Eagles were first to find the back of the net in the 61st minute courtesy number 11 striker, Ibrahim Beji Muhammad to make it 0-1.

Having mastered the Argentines in the first 45 minutes of the game which ended in a barrel draw, the Nigerian youngsters were playing with more precision on the ball not minding the huge support the hosts for the hosts.

The Argentines who had a fantastic run in their group stage were leveled by the Nigerians who were third best in their group.

The West African country who were able to hold on to their one goal lead for 30 minutes doubled the lead at added time as Rilwan Haliru Sarki found the back of the net in the 91st minute to make it 2-0 demoralising the Argentines.
