Okpoh, Afolabi, Izuchukwu, 3 others, most wanted US criminals hiding in Nigeria – FBI
The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has intensified its search for six Nigerian nationals who are considered to be “cyber’s most wanted.”
These individuals are believed to be residing in Nigeria, making it difficult for authorities to apprehend them. The FBI is urging the public to provide any information they may have about the whereabouts of these criminals.
“If you have any information concerning this person, please contact your local FBI office or the nearest American Embassy or Consulate,” stated the agency.
The sextuplet is wanted for their involvement in various criminal activities, including romance scams, fraudulent wire transfers, and advanced fee fraud schemes. The FBI has taken legal action against them, resulting in warrants for their arrest.

One of the wanted individuals, Mr. Olorunyomi, is accused of participating in a Business Email Compromise (BEC) scheme that defrauded over 70 U.S. businesses, causing losses exceeding $6 million. Additionally, he is alleged to have engaged in romance fraud, swindling vulnerable individuals out of more than $1 million.
Similarly, Mr. Kayode is sought for his alleged role in a BEC scheme that defrauded multiple U.S. businesses, leading to losses exceeding $6 million. He is accused of facilitating fraudulent wire transfers and participating in BEC and romance frauds.
Mr. Benson, another wanted individual, is implicated in a BEC scheme with significant financial consequences. He is accused of providing bank accounts for receiving fraudulent wire transfers and participating in romance and advanced fee fraud schemes.
Mr. Uzuh faces allegations of participating in a BEC scheme that defrauded multiple U.S. businesses of over $6 million. He is also accused of money laundering and collaborating with others involved in BEC schemes.
Another wanted individual, Mr. Okpoh, is alleged to have played a role in a BEC scheme that defrauded numerous U.S. businesses of more than $6 million. He is accused of providing bank accounts for fraudulent wire transfers, resulting in losses exceeding $1 million.
Lastly, Mr. Ogunshakin is wanted for his involvement in a BEC scheme that caused substantial financial losses to multiple U.S. businesses. He is accused of providing bank accounts for fraudulent wire transfers and participating in these schemes by sending spoofed emails.
These six individuals contribute to the ever-growing list of Nigerians involved in criminal activities and scams. Some are already serving sentences, while others are facing legal action.
For example, Ramon Abass, popularly known as Hushpuppi, recently received an 11-year sentence in the United States for money laundering and fraud. Similarly, Abba Kyari, a senior police officer, is under scrutiny for allegedly assisting Hushpuppi in his criminal endeavors.
Olalekan Ponle, also known as Woodberry, received an eight-year sentence and forfeited his assets for defrauding multiple companies of over $8 million. Additionally, Obinwanne Okeke, known as Invictus Obi, is currently serving a 10-year prison term for internet fraud that caused $11 million in losses to his victims.
The FBI is determined to locate the six most-wanted Nigerian criminals and hold them accountable for their alleged crimes.
