Guinness World Records: Student lands in hospital after 58-hour hand washing marathon

Subair Enitan, a 200-level student at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ile-Ife, Osun state, was admitted to the hospital after completing a grueling 58-hour hand wash-a-thon in an attempt to set a Guinness World Record. Enitan had applied for the attempt last June and began the challenge on Friday afternoon at the Student Union Building Motor park on the university campus, with thousands of students supporting her.

During the event, various students, artists, and university officials visited the pavilion to show their solidarity and cheer her to victory. Enitan successfully completed the 58-hour challenge around midnight on Monday before being escorted to the institution’s clinic for medical evaluation.
