Armed men abducted the Managing Director of Fouani Company, which represents LG and Hisense, along with three Lebanese nationals while they were traveling by boat in Lagos on Friday.

According to a source familiar with the incident, the victims were kidnapped around Falomo Bridge while traveling from Apapa to Victoria Island.

Fouani, a prominent figure in the business world, is well-known for his significant contributions to the economy through the Fouani Group, which has a substantial presence in Nigeria and beyond. His abduction underscores the risks faced by high-profile individuals in areas where security can be precarious.

The kidnappers have demanded a ransom of $1.5 million.

The Lagos State Police Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin, confirmed the incident, stating that the police are investigating. However, he declined to provide further details, including the names of the abducted persons.
