Police dismiss officer for ignoring transfer, promoting himself
The Nigeria Police Force has dismissed Corporal Buba Adamu for failing to report to his new post in Kaduna State and illegally promoting himself to the rank of Superintendent.
Adamu, who was transferred from the Cross River command to Kaduna nine years ago, continued to operate in Calabar and engaged in illegal activities under the guise of a mobile police officer.

His actions were exposed by concerned members of the Nasarawa community in Calabar, leading to his arrest.
The spokesperson for the Cross River Police Command, SP Irene Ugbo, announced that Adamu has been relieved of his duties, and all police property in his possession has been retrieved.
The matter is now in court for further judicial action.
