World Bank places Nigerian businesses, individuals on blacklist

Many Nigerian businesses and individuals have been placed on the World Bank blacklist due to their involvement in dishonest activities.
Neptune Prime gathered that the decision is part of the organisation’s ongoing dedication to uphold honesty and openness in its projects and endeavours.
Included in the list are 39 Nigerian companies that were previously restricted by the African Development Bank (AfDB), along with 19 persons identified by the World Bank under their shared exclusion policy.
This brings the total count of restrictions to 58, preventing the cited entities from taking part in any projects or activities funded by institutions within the World Bank Group.
The list, which undergoes updates every three hours, currently holds a total of 1,210 globally blacklisted entities.
Being blacklisted disqualifies businesses and individuals from participating in projects and operations supported by the institutions within the World Bank Group.
