CR7 smashes Saudi Pro League record with 44 goal contributions
Cristiano Ronaldo, the Al-Nassr captain, made history in the Saudi Pro League by becoming the player with the most goal contributions in a single season.
He achieved this feat after assisting his team’s opening goal against Al-Hilal on Friday, May 17, 2024. Despite not scoring in the game, Ronaldo’s assist took his goal contributions in the league this season to 44, comprising 33 goals and 11 assists in 29 games.
Ronaldo broke the previous record for goal contributions in a single Saudi Pro League season, cementing his status as one of the greatest players in the game.
His impressive performance has been consistent throughout the season, with a total of 55 goal contributions in 42 games across competitions.
Since joining Al-Nassr on a free transfer in December 2022, Ronaldo has averaged exactly one goal contribution in 61 competitive outings for the team. His tally includes 56 goals and 15 assists, with most of these contributions (47 goals and 13 assists) coming in 45 league games.
