Security agents in Kano arrest woman selling children for N1m, N800,000

Story from Saleh INUWA, Kano

The Kano State Command of the Vigilante Group of Nigeria (VGN) has arrested a woman suspected of stealing children in the Sharada area of Gwale Local Government.

The Vigilante Commander, Shehu Rabi’u, explained that the woman was said to be trading children for the sum of N1 million for males and N800,000 for females.

He said his operatives got wind of the woman’s activities when she tried to deceive a mother of four, two boys and two girls, that she would take them to a house where they would be given money and foodstuff.

He further said, “After a strenuous exercise, we apprehended the woman. She and the children have been handed over to the police.
