Tinubu to embark on 3-day visit to Equatorial Guinea

President Bola Tinubu will depart Abuja on Wednesday for a three-day official visit to Malabo, Equatorial Guinea, at the invitation of President Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo.

The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Chief Ajuri Ngelale, confirmed the details of the visit in a statement released on Tuesday.

During his visit, Tinubu will meet with President Mbasogo at the Presidential Villa in Malabo.

The two leaders are expected to discuss key bilateral issues, with a particular focus on oil, gas, and security.

Several agreements will be signed to strengthen cooperation between Nigeria and Equatorial Guinea in these areas.

The statement added, “The President will be accompanied on the trip by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Yusuf Tuggar, and other members of his cabinet, who will be involved in signing agreements and reviewing opportunities to improve bilateral relations.”
