Troops in Borno apprehend wanted Boko Haram logistics supplier
Troops of the Multinational Joint Task Force (MNJTF), Sector 3, have apprehended a key Boko Haram logistics supplier, Garba Buda, in Guzamala, Borno State. The 30-year-old suspect, who had been on the MNJTF’s wanted list for a long time, played a crucial role in supplying resources to the terrorist group.
Buda’s arrest followed a well-coordinated intelligence operation, involving both surveillance and human intelligence.
He was intercepted in Monguno while attempting to transport logistics, effectively disrupting a critical supply chain to Boko Haram in the Lake Chad region.
Items recovered from Buda, including personal items like a lighter, comb, and wristwatch, have provided further insight into his operations. He is currently in custody undergoing interrogation.

In a separate operation, MNJTF troops raided a Boko Haram/ISWAP hideout in Kukawa Local Government Area, forcing the terrorists to flee and abandon their logistics, which were later destroyed.
MNJTF’s Chief Military Information Officer, Lieutenant Colonel Olaniyi Osoba, emphasized the success of these operations as part of the task force’s relentless efforts to dismantle terrorist networks and secure local communities in the Lake Chad region.
